Land resource constraints in Caribbean territories are exacerbated by rapidly expanding transportation networks. Traffic congestion and pollution can significantly affect human productivity and health, as well as the health of all environmental spheres. Similar issues in industry and transportation therefore require novel, mitigative approaches to management, all of which would be welcomed at CESaRE.

Examples include:

  • Road networks and conflicting land usage (quantified losses/gains?)
  • Feasibility of mass transport systems
  • Mechanisms for reducing/offsetting emissions to the environment
  • Assessing effectivity of national pollution laws/policies
