Most, if not all, of the Caribbean territories possess coastlines and coastal resources. Some would say our coasts are one of our greatest assets upon which many industries, be it tourism and/or fishing, depend. For these to be effectively and sustainably managed, data and research are needed from which decisions can be made.
CESaRE will feature research articles on coastal management, including but not limited to:
- Fisheries management
- Participatory governance
- Coastal and marine resources (coral reefs, mangroves, beaches)
- Coastal Development
- Economic values of these resources
- Conflicts between different users of the coastal zone
