The Journal of Caribbean Environmental Sciences and Renewable Energy (CESaRE) was developed in 2016 out of a recognized need to modernize and revolutionize the Caribbean's scientific research publishing. There are over 170 Caribbean research publications in the past 5 years falling under the broad field of environmental sciences, found scattered over a large variety of International journals, without a central (Caribbean) location to collate this knowledge. With the global shift towards renewable over traditional energy sources, together with a rise in environmental consciousness, this a perfect opportunity for highlighting such research conducted in the Caribbean. CESaRE will provide a suitable forum to encourage research into renewable energy, as well as the environmental sciences. CESaRE promises to be more than just a collection of articles, but also a forum to disseminate information and bridge the gap between research and implementation, from which Caribbean leaders, relevant industry partners, and authorities can use our Journal for more effective decision making and environmental management.

CESaRE Intern Positions

Use the form below to submit your application! All positions, other than the Development Officer position are unpaid, compensation-based Internships. Compensation can be gained based on any funds brought into CESaRE through an Intern’s efforts. Please note, not all Intern positions are open at a given time.

EDITOR INTERN

The role of the Editor Intern is to assist CESaRE in achieving innovative solutions to address the rapidly changing funding landscape for NGOs. This will include but is not limited to proofreading manuscripts and articles to be published for CESaRE. These documents will be in compliance with the established standards and templates as identified by the Editor-in-Chief.

GRAPHIC ARTIST INTERN

The role of the Graphic Artist Intern is to assist CESaRE in creating well-documented and tailored work representative of our branding and mission. This will include but is not limited to creating innovation solutions for CESaRE projects. Graphics and content for the website and other social media platforms should also be tailored to represent our brand and mission.

MARKETING INTERN

The role of the Marketing Intern is to assist CESaRE in optimizing the functionality of CESaRE’s website in an effort to meet our objectives. The Marketing Intern will also be tasked with creating and updating the graphics and content for the website and other social media platforms. This will include but is not limited to producing appropriate marketing, video production and editing.

PUBLICATIONS INTERN

The role of the Publications Intern is to assist CESaRE in meeting our marketing and design needs of CESaRE including the provision of Open Access software wherever possible. This will include but is not limited to creating content for the publications and other platforms that are innovative and of professional quality representative of contemporary marketing trends.

PROJECTS INTERN

The role of the Projects Intern is to assist CESaRE in finding innovative solutions to address the rapidly changing funding landscape for NGOs. This will include but is not limited to finding potential funding opportunities and to communicate the progress to the respective donors and benefactors.

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

The role of the Social Media Intern is to assist CESaRE in the curation of social media content for the various social media platforms that we use. This will include but is not limited to scheduling content for the CESaRE Minute Brief videos in collaboration with the relevant members of the Marketing team.

Partnerships Intern

The role of the Partnerships Intern is to work with the Managing Directors of CESaRE to find unique and resourceful partnerships with Caribbean-based organizations and institutions to further the development of our NGO. This Internship position is crucial to building the rapport of CESaRE in the region and fostering opportunities for our growth as a leading NGO in the Caribbean.
